About World Patient Safety Day

• It is observed annually on 17th September.
• It was established by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019.
• The Day brings together patients, families, caregivers, communities, health workers, health care leaders and policymakers to show their commitment to patient safety.
• The day is dedicated to ensuring that healthcare is as safe as possible.
