Renowned environmentalist Daripalli Ramaiah, popularly known as the “Tree Man” of Telangana, passed away recently. 

About Daripalli Ramaiah (1937–2025) 

• Origin: Native of Reddipalli village, Telangana. 
• Popularly Known As: 'Chetila Ramaiah' or Vanajeevi (forest dweller), and affectionately called the “Tree Man”. 
• Padma Shri Awardee: Honoured in 2017 for his contribution to environmental conservation.
