International Day of UN Peacekeepers 2024

  • International Day of UN Peacekeepers is annually observed on 29th May.
  • The day honour the contributions of peacekeepers towards international peace and security.
  • The theme for the day 2024 is Fit for the Future: Building Better Together.

REC Won Sustainability Champion – Editor’s Choice Award 2024

  • REC Limited has been honoured with the Sustainability Champion – Editor’s Choice Award at the Outlook Planet Sustainability Summit & Awards 2024.
  • The award recognized REC’s commitment to sustainability initiatives and its efforts in driving progress towards a greener future.

PRAGATI-2024

  • The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) launched PRAGATI- 2024 (Pharma Research in AyurGyan and Techno Innovation).
  • It aimed to explore research opportunities and foster collaboration between CCRAS and the Ayurveda drug industry.

RBI Launched PRAVAAH, Retail Direct Mobile Application and FinTech Repository

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched PRAVAAH portal, RBI Retail Direct mobile application and FinTech Repository.
  • PRAVAAH is a secure and centralised web-based portal for any individual or entity to seek authorisation, license or regulatory approval on any reference made by it to the Reserve Bank.
  • The Retail Direct Mobile App will provide retail investors with seamless and convenient access to the retail direct platform and provide ease of transacting in government securities (G-Secs).
  • The Fintech Repository will contain information on Indian FinTech Sector for a better understanding of the sector from a regulatory perspective and facilitate in designing appropriate policy approaches.

Radhika Sen Received 2023 Military Gender Advocate of Year Award

  • Indian Army Major Radhika Sen received the 2023 Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award.
  • The award recognizes her advocacy for women and girls while serving as a peacekeeper.
  • She is the second Indian peacekeeper to receive the honour after Major Suman Gawani who served with the UN Mission in South Sudan and received the award in 2019.
