India has dispatched a second batch of BrahMos missile systems to the Philippines. 

About BrahMos Missile 

• Development: Jointly developed by India and Russia. 
• Type: A long-range supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from land, sea, and air. 
• Two-Stage System: 
  • 1st Stage (Solid propellant booster): Provides initial supersonic speed. 
  • 2nd Stage (Liquid ramjet): Boosts the missile to Mach 3 speed in the cruise phase. 
• Range: Capable of reaching up to 290 km.

• "Fire and Forget" technology: Enables quick engagement with reduced target dispersion. 
• Shorter flight times ensure faster responses and lower chance for interception.
