  • Provides ₹5 lakh per family for secondary and tertiary care (surgery, treatments, medications, diagnostics). 
• Beneficiaries 
  • Targets families identified through Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) data. 
  • States/UTs can use similar socio-economic databases for remaining unauthenticated families. 
• Funding 
  • 60:40 share for states/UTs with their own legislature. 
  • 90:10 share for Northeast states, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. 
  • 100% central funding for UTs without legislature. 
• Nodal Agency 
  • National Health Authority (NHA) oversees implementation in alliance with states. 
  • State Health Agency (SHA) handles implementation at the state level.
